Catalyst Xprex is a web application I developed for a logistics company to make dispatch bookings simpler, faster, and more reliable. The idea was to create a seamless digital platform where users could book dispatch riders to pick up and deliver goods anywhere within Lagos and across Nigeria all from their browser. From concept to launch, I handled the entire development process, ensuring the app was both functional and user friendly.
I built the application using Next.js for its powerful routing and server-side rendering capabilities, combined with Tailwind CSS to achieve a clean, responsive design that works smoothly on both desktop and mobile devices. One of the standout features is its integration with Google Maps, which allows users to easily set pickup and drop-off locations with pinpoint accuracy. This not only improves the user experience but also helps dispatch riders navigate efficiently and reduce delivery errors.
What made this project especially exciting was the challenge of merging modern web technologies with the operational realities of logistics. I focused on designing clear user flows, optimizing load times, and ensuring the booking process felt intuitive. Behind the scenes, the app is structured to handle real-time location data, making it practical for everyday dispatch operations in a bustling city like Lagos.
Catalyst Xprex represents more than just a functional product, it's a demonstration of how thoughtful design and robust engineering can solve real business problems. For the logistics company, it meant better coordination between customers and riders, improved delivery speed, and a more professional digital presence. For me, it was a chance to build something impactful from the ground up and watch it make a tangible difference in daily operations.
